Depending on what type of safari and in which country you decide to take your safari, your accommodations will vary. For the more adventurous personalities, engaged in more of an overland experience, one can expect to stay in a canvas tent set up usually with hot bucket safari showers upon request, and en suite flush toilet. These types of tents are commonly used for mobile camping, in areas for example where one might be following the path of the great wildebeest migration. But as you can see from the pictures below, this type of camping safari can escalate in style, design and amenities, to a two bedroom luxurious suite with plunge pool and full butler service. Luxury tented camps are more commonly found through East Africa, while in most of Southern Africa one experiences more of a chalet type accommodation with beautiful thatched roofs.
